The technology of Diamorph Ceramics comprises a concept for introducing high amounts of nitrogen into the ceramics. For example, the fracture toughness and hardness values for the obtained ceramics are substantially higher than for reference materials obtained from some world leading manufacturers. 

 

The idea behind this innovation was originally to introduce the Diamorph glass with extraordinary mechanical properties into ceramic materials and thereby enhance the mechanical properties of the obtained ceramics.

 

Ceramic Sintering

The group of scientists at Diamorph has sintered a broad spectrum of powder compositions and is a world leading group in ceramic sintering using a variety of sintering techniques.

 

One method allows production of fully densified materials within minutes while applying high heating rates and short dwell times. This results in remarkable possibilites to tailor the microstructure of the material for improved material properties and faster, more flexible and less energy demanding production.
